Saturday, March 4th, Fitzgerald Performance conducted its heavily anticipated Dyno Day and Show & Shine events featuring a host of amazing trucks. Their gates opened at 9 AM and lasted into the night. Fentress County experienced some traffic delays due to the sheer volume of trucks visiting to win cash prizes and trophies. They projected they would draw roughly 2,000 people or more, and they most certainly surpassed their goal. According to the owner Blake Fitzgerald, they drew around 2,500 people, not counting the several children who attended with their parents. They had twenty-five vendors on-site and around three hundred trucks for the show.
They had numerous winners, but first place was the most prestigious award participants could win. Thomas King, coming from Florida, won first place in the Show & Shine contest. For the Dyno Day contest, Greg Albarella took first place and hails from Kentucky. In the burnout competition, Jarrett Taylor received first place, visiting out of Knoxville.
