Taco Bell has around eight thousand locations in the United States alone, and the company reviews each restaurant to determine its eligibility for the prestigious Golden Bell Award. They look at both corporate and franchise restaurants together, witling down their number of locations for a potential winner. They consider only four hundred out of their eight thousand locations as signature locations. They judge these stores as their “best of the best” in terms of sheer performance and service. However, the company further narrows down the number to one hundred out of those four hundred locations as candidates for the Golden Bell Award. Taco Bell considers the award winners as its most quality restaurants in the entire nation.
General Manager of the Taco Bell in Jamestown, Sallie Anderson, broke the news she received on Tuesday, February 14th. “We got the news yesterday that we are a Golden Bell store,” she joyfully declared. Twice in a row, Taco Bell corporate designated the Jamestown location a signature store this year and last. They were one of the nominees for the Golden Bell Award in 2022. “We were a nominee last year, but we didn’t receive Golden Bell cause that’s the top of the food chain,” Anderson explained. The company has given out the award for the past fifteen years.
“They go by your dissatisfied, how fast you are, your customer service,” she said, listing off a few qualities Taco Bell corporate evaluates when choosing nominees. She praised the work of the fifteen to sixteen people under her employment. Anderson, with excitement in her voice, revealed the other benefit of the Golden Bell Award. “Bo and I, at the end of March, get to go to Hawaii for a week,” she said. According to their website, Taco Bell gives their award-winning General Managers and Area Coaches the opportunity to enjoy a week in the Aloha State.
